Dried up mangroves
I walked through the Dangerous Zone for about an hour.
I thought that the figure was sticking to the stick, but it was a bee.
I wonder what the butterfly’s name is.
I finally arrived at the park with the mangroves.
After paying the entrance fee, I entered the park.
The clerk told me to watch out for the monkeys.
I was afraid of the monkeys.
Is this an ant mound?
As I went deeper into the park, a river that looked like it was drying up appeared.
Is it the dry season in Malaysia in September?
What about the mangroves?
Hmmm.
It’s dried up a lot.
I wondered what was wrong with this, but if I looked closely, there was something.
It was a Mudskipper.
There were also crabs.
It was a beautiful color.
I’ve realized something important
After seeing the dried up mangroves, I wandered around the area and hurriedly took a bus back to Kuala Lumpur.
Huh? I’m here to find Phylliidae, where are you…?
I have a confession to make.
I had not done any research at all, although I had said that I wanted to go to see the Phylliidae.
I thought that if I went to Malaysia, they would be everywhere.
What’s more, the places I’ve been to have no more bugs than I thought.
Apparently, the temperature was too high.
Many of the insects in Malaysia live at slightly higher altitudes, and
I learned that the area around Kuala Lumpur was apparently not so good.
It’s hard to find the Phylliidae, even for locals.
Seriously?
As long as I’m dealing with nature, I shouldn’t expect a commensurate return, but
I couldn’t go home empty-handed, either. I wanted to take some pictures and go home.
That’s why I was reading Kazuo Unno’s website and found
there was an article about the national butterfly of Malaysia.
I heard that he visits Malaysia every year to take pictures of this Birdwing Butterfly.
Then, let’s go photograph the Birdwing Butterfly.
We decided to head to a city called “Tapah”, which is about 100 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur.
By the way, my dinner that day was a Burger King Whopper.
