WHY DO YOU GO TO MALAYSIA?
There is a insect named Phylliidae in Malaysia.
He is just like a leaf.
I had wanted to see this insect since I was child.
My parents are education-minded people, so I had to study various things (music, swimming etc…) .
In my house, there are many educational books and PC softs.
I didn’t know which these education was for me or my parents. (Because my mom likes books.)
The one PC soft led me the world of insects.
It was a educational soft “Multimedia Insects picture book” written by Kazuo Unno.
I was a child in the early days of Internet, so I had to look the world up in books.
Naturally, it was impossible for me to know the world through books, but the PC soft told me door to the world.
The PC soft’s package was the picture of Phylliidae.
I wanted to see it someday.
Malaysia, I have always wanted to visit.
DOOR TO THE WORLD
After work, I prepared for my pack.
I packed cameras, daily necessities, videocamera, and etc… in my backpack.
The backpack was very heavy, so I decided to leave video camera and something to kill time.
Tokyo monorail go to Haneda airport.
Actually, I was worried about whether I really would go to Malaysia.
I thought I missed the airplane if my ticket was wrong.
However, there was nothing to worry about that.
The ticket was right.
There were many people at the reception counter.
Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and Malaysian…
The people impressed me most was a Muslim family.
Structure of the family was parents and two children.
The mother wore niqab.
Honestly, I was surprised to her because I couldn’t see her face.
Her children frolicked in Japanese.
She scolded them in a language I didn’t know.
As a matter of course, she was an ordinary mother and woman.
In japan, we tend to exclude “others” who is different from us.
Many Japanese use the words “foreigner” or “half’, to people who don’t look like Japanese.
We don’t have doubt about the words.
If people who don’t looks like us have Japanese nationality and speak Japanese, we don’t see them as a Japanese.
Sadly, this is Japan.
I couldn’t help thinking about a race at Haneda airport.
The airport is a door to the world.
After I arrived at Malaysia, I thought about a race much more.
To be continued….
